MEDIFAST SHAKE REVIEW; The Medifast diet while breast feeding?

Video Rating: 4 / 5

Question by Just Me: The Medifast diet while breast feeding?
I’m seriously considering the medifast diet to help me get my weight loss going again. I lost 50 pounds after having my son, and the last two months I actually gained five pounds back and can’t seem to lose. The one issue I have is that I’m nursing and can’t find any information on the medifast website about whether this is recommended for nursing women.

Anyone tried the diet while nursing with success? Has anyone been able to find any information on this type of diet while nursing?

Thanks!!

I gained 24 pounds while pregnant, so I’m actually a good 20 pounds lighter than when I got pregnant which feels good. All I’ve been doing is eating healthy so far, but I still have 50 pounds to get to a healthy weight range for my height and would love to be there for my son’s first birthday.

No way would I stop nursing to diet, nursing is number one for me at least until my son is a year old!!
The term is actually “fad” diet not fab, and supplements are optional. This is recommended by the cardiologists at my local hospital which is how I got interested in the diet initially.

That’s a terrible way to try to nourish your body. I don’t know what you’re trying to accomplish but you have nothing to gain including fat loss and eveyrthing to lose. You’re robbing body of important nutrients it can only get from food. You’re not providing yourself with the fiber and bulk required for digestion which will result in atrophy of your GI track which is all smooth muscle. Plus those shakes are not required by law to have any testing to ensure quality, content, etc. so you don’t know if what is on the label is really in the shake.

Because you’re relying on a synthetic diet, you will regain your body fat when you begin to eat normal food again. Your body is going to suffer because your brain has not done it’s homework.

Good luck and good health!!
