Question by : Quuit Smoking and Not gain weight???
Has anyone successfully quit smoking and not gained weight? i gain 10-20+ lbs everytime i quit no matter how often i work out; how healthy i eat.. so heres another question; there are two new pills out there called Acomplia or Rimonabant, and Chantix now available; Has anyone tried them?? how well do they work, and what were your side effects?
the last two times that i quit smoking i quit for more than 3 months and i gained 20 lbs and i did not eat anything that was not healthy and i did not eat more; i worked out 3-4 days a week; ran the stairs here at work 3 times a day (when i’d normally go smoke) and i made sure to drink lots of H2O; My doctor has said that not smoking probably is throwing my thyroid out of whack. so i dunno; i’ll see how these new meds will work and yes they are a crutch so to speak but at least i’m willing to use them instead of stair at them and continue to polute my lungs.
