Prince of Monaco arrived in Bakuriani 2011-09-19 The Prince of Monaco Albert II continues his visit to Georgia. He has arrived in resort town Bakuriani today. The prince paid tribute to the Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili, who tragically killed in Winter Olympic Games 2010 in Vancouver. Albert II was a luger as well. Albert II was impressed by the Georgian culture and traditions. He visited Mestia, Georgia’s Svaneti region yesterday. Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili got him acquainted with Svanetian traditions, folklore and dishes. The Prince arrived in Batumi seaside city of Adjara region and along with the Georgian President attended a new musical “Keto and Kote” based on the Georgian composer Siko Dolidze’s opera at Batumi Music and Art Centre yesterday. The Prince of Monaco plans to visit other regions of Georgia as well.
